The Illinois Senate voted 59-0 to remove Gov Rod R Blagojevich from office.
And...
they also voted 59-0 to ban him from holding public office in Illinois ever again.

Pat Quinn is sworn in to replace him and on we go.

Blago appeared in Springfield today and made a 45 minute statement but did not testify and did not take questions.

I am pleasantly surprised that...
They acted swiftly
They acted unanimously
