We've been punked...

...by Washington.
Imagine that. Something we've been told by the government turns out to be hype.

You know that "fact" from the administration that 90% of the weapons used by drug lords in Mexico come from the United States?

Well, it turns out that they were off a bit. That figure is more like 17%. Off by quite a bit, don't you think?

You see, the Mexican government sends us weapons to have the US government determine their origin. But Mexico doesn't send us any weapons that are obviously NOT from the US, and that's the bulk of the weaponry.

When you take into account those guns that are unidentifiable, the number is actually about 17%.

So, why is Napolitano spending $400 MILLION right now in an effort to screen vehicles headed into Mexico?

Beats me. Maybe Obama wants us to be a good neighbor. Maybe he wants to support Calderon in his drug war. Maybe it's just Washington as usual.
